He is also the only IWFA accredited Solar Control Specialist in the Austin Area. He has a personal interest in aiding Lupus and cancer patients with solar protection.

Jeff Thompson is originally from Indiana. He met his wife in Florida in 1975 and married in 1977. He returned to Indiana where he continued his studies at I.U. P.U.I. in 1978.

In 1986, Jeff and his wife started their business and opened a chain of stores in Indianapolis. A full line of products and services were available, such as paint sealant (for automotive, aircraft and marine), electronic rust proofing, graphics for business and auto, gold plating for automotive and home, after-market automotive accessories, glass replacement and repair, window film and security film for automotive, commercial and residential. Jeff's pet department and specialty was the commercial, residential, safety, and security. Among their clients are the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Rit Dye, Helzberg Diamonds, Men's Warehouse, Bank One, TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays, CHB Industries in New York, Barnes & Noble, LBJ Museum, LBJ Birth Home, Boyhood Home, LBJ's Texas Whitehouse, Austin Bergstrom Airport, Sprint, MCI, Enterprise Leasing, Hertz, Sam's Club, Dollar Tree, and Avis to name just a few. A number of these clients have hired Jeff and his team to handle their film needs in multiple states.

They sold the chain of stores in Indianapolis in 1998 and moved to the Texas Hill Country. Shortly after the move, Sunsational Solutions was launched specializing and focusing on commercial, residential, safety, and security films. The selection of Madico and Huper Optik products to use as their product line, was not by accident. After years of researching and testing products in the field at their own expense, they believe that these products offer the widest range of application solutions, the best manufacturers' warranty, service, and by far are superior in quality and durability.

Jeff has been one of the highest certified flat glass installers in the country since 1987. He maintains current certification for 3M, Madico, V-Kool, Huper Optik, Vista, Llumar, Johnson, and Solar Gard films. Jeff attends numerous seminars annually to stay ahead of the constantly changing technology and to make certain that he has the best possible product to meet each client's specific need. Each of Jeff's team members, are required to have a minimum of 40 hours of training each year, enabling the entire team to remain top notch in their craft.

In February 2001 Jeff was given a Certificate of Appreciation from the Mayor of the city of Austin, Kirk Watson, for his help with Project Impact, a project devoted to the safety of Austin citizens and promoting hazard mitigation in the Austin Area.

It is Sunsational's creed is that by coupling an outstanding product line with a company that has always practiced superior customer service, continuing education, expert installation, community involvement, will understandably continue to obtain the majority of their business from repeat and referral clients.
