Modern Office Privacy via Solyx™ Feather Gradient Film
This commercial tenant customization project perfectly demonstrates how to balance open-concept architecture with the everyday need for workplace confidentiality. Our client occupied a dynamic corporate space featuring a dramatic, two-story wall of glass looking over the building lobby. While visually stunning, this expansive glass facade created a complete “fishbowl effect,” leaving the workspaces on both levels fully exposed to foot traffic below.
To give the tenant customized privacy without sacrificing the building’s modern, airy aesthetic, we installed Solyx™ Feather Gradient window film across the lower portion of the glass panes on both floors.
The Design Challenge & Solution
Offices overlooking central building atriums or lobbies require a delicate touch. Standard solid frosted films can completely block views and make an office feel closed off, isolating employees from the rest of the building. By selecting a gradient style, we were able to strategically target the exact zones where privacy was needed most.

Why Solyx™ Feather Gradient Changes the Workspace
The beauty of the Solyx Feather Gradient lies in its seamless visual transition. By applying the film to the lower section of the window panes on both floors, we effectively blocked direct sightlines into the desks, paperwork, and computer screens of the offices.
Meanwhile, because the film gently fades into perfectly clear glass toward the top of each pane, natural daylight still floods deep into the office interior. This application maintains a strong connection to the building’s architecture while giving the tenant a secure, comfortable, and highly professional environment to conduct daily business.
